Staff Information Security Engineer - AI First

About the role

The Staff AI-First Information Security Engineer will own the intersection of AI adoption and information security at Rithum. This role involves designing guardrails for AI-powered products, building automated security tooling, and establishing security controls for an AI-first workforce. You will work autonomously to turn manual security reviews into infrastructure-as-code and automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between architectural intent and operational reality to mediate security conflicts and remediate risks.
• Implement preventive, default-on security controls across cloud and enterprise environments using policy- and infrastructure-as-code.
• Enforce identity and access controls, including access boundaries for AI systems and non-human identities.
• Assist in maintaining the InfoSec risk register and translate emerging threats into actionable guidance.
• Support third-party and vendor risk assessments with a focus on AI data pipelines.
• Automate repetitive security workflows and build AI-assisted security agents with human-in-the-loop approval gates.
• Integrate security tooling with LLM layers to surface actionable insights.
• Define security requirements for AI-powered features including prompt-injection mitigations and output validation.
• Conduct threat modelling on agentic and LLM-based systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering experience with demonstrated AI/ML security depth

• Infrastructure and policy-as-code proficiency
