Data Privacy Security Engineer

About the role

The Data Privacy Security Engineer will protect sensitive customer and business data across products, platforms, and third-party services. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to implement privacy-by-design principles and mitigate security risks. You will be responsible for managing data lifecycle controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Protect sensitive data across collection, processing, storage, sharing, retention, and deletion.
• Map data flows and assess privacy and security risks across applications, analytics, and third-party providers.
• Implement encryption, tokenization, masking, anonymization, and least-privilege data access controls.
• Secure data pipelines, databases, warehouses, and cloud data services on AWS and GCP.
• Assess customer data shared with third-party AI model vendors and define minimization and access controls.
• Manage data and privacy controls for SC TRM and BNM RMiT, including assessments and audit support.
• Support privacy impact assessments, access reviews, monitoring, and incident response.
