About the role
Abby Care is seeking a high-agency Associate General Counsel to lead privacy and AI governance programs. This senior role involves setting strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant growth in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment. You will serve as a subject matter expert, reporting to the General Counsel and presenting to the executive team and Board.
Responsibilities
- Own the privacy program for patient and payor data including HIPAA compliance and incident response.
- Manage the AI governance program, responsible AI policy suite, and AI use case review framework.
- Set regulatory change management strategy across federal and state privacy and AI laws.
- Lead privacy and data-use terms in payor relationships and manage BAA programs.
- Serve as a senior legal partner to Product, Engineering, Operations, and Clinical teams.
- Manage outside counsel relationships and lead the growth of the privacy and AI team.
