Senior Financial Operations Specialist

About the role

The Senior Financial Operations Specialist will own the company's financial operations, including accounts receivable, supplier invoice pipelines, and month-end closing processes. This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and requires an independent professional to manage financial administration and ensure audit readiness. The position is for 24 hours per week, offering flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts receivable including invoicing, credit management, and AR aging analysis.
• Independently collect outstanding balances while maintaining professional customer relationships.
• Manage the supplier invoice pipeline from intake and approval routing to delivery to the external accountant.
• Prepare weekly payment batches for approval.
• Post invoices to general ledger accounts and cost centers.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and perform balance reconciliations.
• Review P&L for correct period allocation and support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects.
