Account Executive

About the role

As an Account Executive, you will serve as the primary connection between GitLab and its customers, managing the full sales cycle for organizations of up to 4,000 team members. You will own a broad book of business, guiding prospects through discovery, solution alignment, negotiation, and closing while articulating the value of the DevSecOps platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive adoption, expand the company's footprint, and maintain accurate pipeline data.

Responsibilities

• Own a broad book of Enterprise business, from new prospects to growing existing accounts.
• Manage the full sales cycle for Enterprise prospects, from discovery and solution alignment through negotiation and close.
• Articulate the value of GitLab's DevSecOps platform and its artificial intelligence capabilities to prospects and customers.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through consistent prospecting, qualification, and advancement of opportunities.
• Document buying criteria, decision processes, next steps, and key stakeholders to run disciplined sales cycles.
• Collaborate with sales development, customer success, renewals, marketing, and technical teams to deliver a cohesive experience.
• Support customer adoption, work to reduce churn, and participate in quarterly forecasting and territory planning.
