Head of Engineering

About the role

Kittl is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization. You will manage engineers directly, coach team leads into strong managers, and optimize our delivery processes to ensure predictable, high-quality releases. Reporting to the CTO, you will shape engineering strategy and collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to drive our AI-native creative platform.

Responsibilities

• Coach first-time team leads into confident managers and manage engineers directly with clear expectations.
• Establish consistent standards for performance, feedback, career growth, and onboarding.
• Identify and resolve delivery bottlenecks to improve predictability with the existing team.
• Take ownership of quality and release decisions to support the CTO.
• Shape engineering strategy and translate it into actionable team objectives.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture and systems design.
