Senior DevOps DBA - MS SQL Server

About the role

Schuberg Philis is seeking a Senior DevOps DBA to design, build, and operate SQL database platforms within a hybrid cloud landscape. You will be responsible for migrating mission-critical applications to Azure, implementing high availability and disaster recovery patterns, and automating infrastructure. The role requires a balance of platform engineering and application performance ownership to ensure stability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build SQL database platforms on Azure and on-premises environments.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and replication patterns.
• Automate infrastructure and database processes using DevOps practices.
• Decompose shared SQL environments into dedicated workloads per application.
• Troubleshoot and optimize database performance, including query optimization and indexing.
• Support the onboarding of new applications while protecting environment stability.
