Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Ranking

About the role

Quora is seeking an experienced machine learning engineer to join the distribution team and advance the second-phase ranking models behind the feed and digest features. You will own and improve end-to-end machine learning systems while developing methodologies that support other developers across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-leverage surfaces and contribute to Quora's mission of growing the world's collective intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing machine learning ranking models using core coding skills and ML knowledge
• Take end-to-end ownership of machine learning systems including data pipelines, candidate extraction, feature engineering, model training, and production integration
• Identify new opportunities to apply machine learning to different parts of the Quora product
• Work with other machine learning engineers to implement algorithms and systems efficiently
