Management Accountant

About the role

Black Forest Labs is seeking a bilingual Management Accountant to serve as the cornerstone of their German accounting operations. This role involves managing full-cycle accounting, ensuring compliance with both German and US GAAP, and coordinating financial operations between German and US entities. The successful candidate will partner with internal teams and external advisors to maintain accurate financial reporting and support global consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle billing, collections, and accounts payable for the German entity
• Execute treasury and cash management functions, including inter-company settlements
• Process and reconcile inter-company transactions between German and US entities
• Partner with People Operations and external payroll agencies to ensure accurate payroll accounting
• Maintain accurate books and records in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Coordinate with external German accountants to ensure accurate VAT returns and filings
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for global consolidation
