Staff / Senior Staff Security Engineer, Vinted Pay

About the role

As a Staff or Senior Staff Security Engineer in Vinted Pay, you will lead the security engineering capability for a regulated fintech business scaling across Europe. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into technical guardrails and drive practical security controls within a federated model. This role involves hands-on technical work, strategic roadmap development, and cross-functional leadership to ensure security is built into the core financial architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the Vinted Pay security roadmap end to end and drive risks to closure.
• Map PCI DSS, DORA, and financial regulatory requirements into automated security controls and engineering guardrails.
• Conduct deep technical reviews of AWS infrastructure, payment pipelines, and security tooling to identify and fix operational blind spots.
• Own PCI DSS and data protection architecture including payment page isolation, encryption, and least-privilege access.
• Lead cross-functional security initiatives across Payments Platform, Payments Engineering, and Group Security.
• Maintain the risk register and represent Vinted Pay in group security governance.
• Embed secure development practices into engineering workflows to ensure security is addressed at design time.
