About the role

Traide AI is a VC-backed B2B deep tech startup focused on automating customs compliance through AI. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will build robust, AI-powered backend services and infrastructure while contributing to the end-to-end delivery of features across the web application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring research into production and uphold high standards for code quality and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements in the web application
• Write both client-side and server-side code within established codebases
• Analyze and communicate trade-offs in technical designs through RFC-style discussions
• Partner with AI engineers to bring research and prototypes into production-ready features
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, architecture, and best practices
• Design and maintain robust automated tests to ensure reliability and quality at scale
• Share expertise through code reviews, mentoring, and documentation
