Principal Software Engineer

About the role

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will build the services, workflows, and developer-facing APIs behind an AI-native platform for automated product compliance in MedTech. You will partner with product and founders to shape the technical roadmap, lead architectural decisions, and drive initiatives while ensuring the reliability and traceability required in a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical roadmap by partnering with product and founders to define and prioritize initiatives.
• Lead architectural decisions for backend services to ensure they are secure, extensible, and compliant.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and APIs with a backend-heavy focus.
• Tackle complex engineering problems and improve development practices, processes, and quality standards.
• Unblock team members by debugging issues, reviewing designs, and sharing technical context.
• Collaborate with machine learning, product, and design teams to discover and ship solutions.
