Senior/Staff Platform Engineer

About the role

Cortea AI is looking for a Senior or Staff Platform Engineer to own the architecture and reliability of their AI agent systems. You will bridge the gap between software engineering, DevOps, and SRE by building shared primitives, APIs, and infrastructure that enable product engineers to ship fast and reliably. This role requires a hands-on approach to designing, building, and operating distributed systems from scratch to production.

Responsibilities

• Codify golden paths and build shared primitives, libraries, and APIs for product engineers.
• Own the system architecture and core stack, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Manage infrastructure as code, including Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources.
• Define and implement SLIs and SLOs to ensure high-signal observability and alerting.
• Manage security and compliance foundations, including IAM, secrets, and authentication stacks.
• Develop internal tooling and documentation to streamline the development lifecycle for AI agents.
