About the role
Almedia is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to own measurement strategies, experimentation infrastructure, and high-leverage models that impact unit economics. The role involves working across product and engineering teams to turn data insights into business actions and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in causal inference, experimentation, and production-level model deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design causal frameworks to reveal unit economics, attribution, and intervention impact.
- Build platforms that enable rapid iteration and define statistical rigor.
- Identify and own models that move unit economics, such as pricing, ranking, and user incentive systems.
- Partner with engineering to productionize models.
- Mentor junior data scientists and set technical standards for causality and measurement.
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations and translate complex analysis into business decisions.
