Staff Product Manager, Comms Platform

About the role

The Staff Product Manager will lead the modernization of Affirm's communications platform and build shared capabilities to support consistent transactional and marketing communications. This role involves setting product strategy, navigating complex technical tradeoffs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and reliable system performance. The position focuses on balancing near-term needs with long-term platform investments to deliver relevant customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Set product strategy and roadmap for the communications platform by connecting customer needs, business priorities, and technical opportunities.
• Modernize communications infrastructure and build shared capabilities for consistent experiences across transactional and marketing channels.
• Lead complex platform initiatives from strategy through launch and adoption in collaboration with engineering and cross-functional partners.
• Build strong internal relationships to ensure communications needs for new products and markets are integrated into platform plans.
• Shape channel, platform, and partner strategy, including evaluating build-versus-buy decisions.
• Make clear tradeoffs across customer experience, reliability, scalability, cost, regulatory requirements, and speed.
• Define success metrics and use data signals to guide priorities and investment.

Qualifications
