About the role

The Senior Payroll Analyst will own end-to-end execution of US and Canadian payroll cycles while driving scalable, tech-forward payroll solutions. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams including HRIS, Equity, Accounting, and Tax to reimagine payroll operations at scale. The successful candidate will act as a process owner, diagnosing root causes of issues and helping to shape the long-term vision of the payroll function.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution of recurring US and Canadian payroll cycles with precision, including audits, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead payroll initiatives of moderate-to-high complexity from scoping through delivery by partnering with People Ops, People Tech, Equity, Benefits, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external vendors.
  • Act as a process owner to diagnose root causes of recurring issues, design scalable solutions, and partner with People technology teams to define requirements and improvements.
  • Support equity-to-payroll workflows including RSU vests, mobility and shadow payroll considerations, and cross-functional reconciliation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for ADP and Workday HCM while staying adaptable to evolving systems.
  • Drive compliance, audit readiness, and controls, supporting SOX, internal audit, year-end filings, and statutory filings across jurisdictions.
  • Identify gaps in workflows, processes, and documentation, and elevate the team through knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
