Infrastructure Automation Engineer, AI Cluster Commissioning

About the role

Firmus Technologies is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join the Commissioning team. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving software tools to support the commissioning process of AI infrastructure, from initial power-on through to production hand-over. You will work on custom tool development and integration to transform physical infrastructure into a production-ready platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom tools and automate processes for initial system bring-up, hardware configuration, and testing.
• Implement and configure system monitoring, health-checks, and diagnostic tools for early commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with networking teams to automate network configuration, deployment, and diagnostics.
• Create automation frameworks for the deployment, configuration, and validation of storage platforms.
• Integrate various operational tools, dashboards, and trackers to support a reliable commissioning process.
• Execute test and benchmarking procedures to confirm successful project completion.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment and ensure consistency.
• Implement security best practices across all tools and deployment processes.
