Senior Backend Engineer, Engineering Experience

About the role

The Engineering Experience domain builds the tools, platforms, and golden paths that support Vinted's engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design and implement backend services and tooling to enable fast, reliable development, integration, and delivery. You will also drive AI-assisted engineering initiatives and improve developer feedback loops to enhance overall productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own backend services, tooling, and frameworks that make development and delivery fast, safe, and reliable.
• Explore, adopt, and integrate AI-assisted workflows and coding agents across the software development lifecycle.
• Improve cloud environments and automated CI/CD/PR pipelines to accelerate developer feedback loops.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code with thorough test coverage across all layers.
• Build robust monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform services to ensure observability and reliability.
• Mentor fellow engineers, conduct code reviews, and write technical proposals to drive adoption of best practices.
