Software Test Engineer

About the role

Deepgram is seeking a Software Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and exploratory test suites for its voice AI platform. The role involves translating product requirements into regression tests, evaluation pipelines, and data-quality gates to ensure the reliability of models, APIs, and data platforms. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify system risks and validate performance across complex AI-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute test plans across products, APIs, SDKs, and data platforms.
• Design and maintain automated test suites for functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Build and maintain customer-focused test datasets and environments that exercise real-world inputs and edge cases.
• Validate AI-powered features using appropriate metrics and regression coverage.
• Build testing infrastructure including harnesses, scripts, and result-aggregation pipelines.
• Integrate automated tests and quality checks into CI/CD workflows.
• Partner with engineering and research teams to establish test coverage and deployment risk assessments.
• Write precise, actionable bug reports and participate in issue triage.
