Lead AI Engineer

About the role

Flip is an AI-powered employee experience platform for frontline workers. As Lead AI Engineer, you will own the AI architecture, standards, and technical direction across the company's core AI products. You will lead a team of three AI engineers while remaining hands-on with complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Define and align AI architecture and standards across Flip Fusion, Ask AI, and Flip Flows.
• Lead and mentor a team of three AI engineers to support their professional growth.
• Architect and operate multi-agent systems that are reliable, cost-effective, and generalizable.
• Maintain a hands-on role in coding and solving complex technical problems for approximately 70 percent of your time.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering leads to influence technical roadmaps and architecture decisions.
