About the role

The Associate Director, Tax will manage and facilitate the accurate preparation and filing of the company's various tax and compliance filings, including federal, state, and international tax. This role involves creating and implementing tax plans, forecasting, and collaborating with leadership to identify process improvements and tax savings. The position ensures compliance with tax laws through robust systems and controls while monitoring regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage federal, state, and international tax accounting and compliance, including income, sales, use, VAT, and property taxes.
  • Facilitate the preparation and review of tax returns and ensure timely filing for SOX compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for federal, state, and international jurisdictions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party tax consulting firms and coordinate inputs from the accounting team.
  • Maintain effective control procedures and manage IRS income tax audits.
  • Monitor legislative developments and communicate their impact to management.
