Security Engineer

About the role

Vivid is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to own and improve the security of their internal environment, including identities, SaaS applications, endpoints, and AI tooling. The role involves designing controls, identifying security gaps, and building automation to scale security operations within a cloud-native AWS environment. The successful candidate will lead technical initiatives independently and communicate security architecture effectively to both engineering teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own SIEM alerting end-to-end, including log management, detection rule tuning, and incident response.
• Administer identity providers and manage access recertification across SaaS, AWS, and internal tools.
• Enforce least privilege, PAM, and improve SaaS security posture with DLP controls.
• Maintain the endpoint stack, including MDM, XDR, and device compliance checks.
• Defend against phishing and spoofing through email gateway rules and security awareness programs.
• Build internal tooling and automate repetitive operations to reduce manual work.
