About the role
DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to join their remote-first team and lead complex projects that protect user privacy. You will own major components of privacy technology, participate in review and audit processes, and mentor other engineers. The role requires end-to-end ownership of projects from scoping through execution and post-mortem.
Responsibilities
- Design systems for improving search indexes and AI features while maintaining user privacy
- Build new features for the Tracker Radar crawler to detect emerging privacy threats
- Implement and maintain privacy features such as Web Tracking and Email Protections
- Participate in privacy review and audit processes to ensure product alignment with privacy principles
- Mentor other engineers to support their career growth and the development of the Privacy Team
