Senior Backend Engineer - Data Core

About the role

Modash is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Data Core team, which owns the infrastructure for collecting and maintaining creator profiles across social platforms. You will design resilient services to handle high-volume data processing, manage third-party API integrations, and ensure the system remains performant and cost-effective. This role involves full ownership of production systems, from architecture and implementation to monitoring and operational maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve systems that collect and maintain 400M+ creator profiles across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Design resilient services to handle third-party API instability, rate limits, and provider outages.
• Improve the economics of data collection by optimizing request routing, storage, and compute usage.
• Own production systems by shaping architecture, writing code, and building operational safeguards and monitoring.
