Senior Strategic Procurement Engineer

About the role

TYTAN Technologies is seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Engineer to lead procurement strategy and operations as the company scales its autonomous air defense systems. This role involves managing global suppliers, driving cost reduction initiatives, and collaborating across engineering and manufacturing teams to build a resilient supply base. The successful candidate will take ownership of procurement projects and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities, components, and services.
• Select, onboard, and manage global suppliers while building long-term strategic partnerships.
• Lead cost reduction, value engineering, and commercial optimization initiatives in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Lead supplier negotiations for contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements.
• Act as the procurement interface to Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Operations, and Legal.
• Support new product introductions, industrialization, supplier readiness, and production ramp-ups.
• Maintain supplier documentation, contracts, and relevant procurement data.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen procurement operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Engineering background, ideally Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Proven experience managing strategic suppliers, negotiations, and complex sourcing initiatives
• Experience with NPI, production ramp-ups, and scaling operations
