Senior DevEx Engineer - Infrastructure

About the role

Primer is building the unified infrastructure for global payments, and this role sits within the Infrastructure team. You will own the internal developer platform, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and ephemeral environments, while also defining how human-AI development loops function within the company. This role requires operational ownership, including participation in on-call rotations, and a focus on improving developer productivity through measurable systems.

Responsibilities

• Own Primer's internal developer platform end to end including CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Build the human-AI development loop and define patterns for agent-driven workflows.
• Treat developer productivity as a measurable system by instrumenting and identifying bottlenecks.
• Take operational ownership by joining the Core Infrastructure on-call rotation.
• Set technical direction for how engineers build and ship software.
• Partner with product teams to improve the ergonomics of internal tools, frameworks, and APIs.
• Build paved roads and golden-path tooling to reduce application boilerplate and shape standards.
