Forward Deployed Engineer - AI

About the role

The Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) acts as the technical face of AvePoint within client organizations, bridging the gap between AI trust, governance, and actual technical implementation. You will embed with clients to scope AI projects, build prototypes, and own the engagement from initial workshops to production delivery. This role requires a blend of strategic advisory skills and hands-on engineering expertise to help enterprises govern and scale their AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops to help clients understand and control their AI landscape, including agents, copilots, and models.
• Explain AI governance, security, and resilience concepts to both technical teams and executives.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete technical scopes, architecture outlines, and statements of work.
• Develop prototypes and production components for client AI solutions, including RAG pipelines and LLM integrations.
• Deliver custom adapters and local tooling for regulated or cloud-restricted environments.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery to go-live and production support.

Qualifications
