Software Deployment Engineer

About the role

The Software Deployment Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, configuration, installation, and support of warehouse execution and control systems. This individual-contributor role manages project-level system commissioning, hardware coordination, database scripting, and formal testing. The engineer operates independently to ensure successful project delivery and provides ongoing support for live production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead software commissioning of Kommand and peripheral hardware systems at customer sites.
• Perform full-scope installation of pick-to-light and overhead illuminator systems, including wiring and configuration.
• Conduct Installation Qualification and User Acceptance Testing with formal documentation and sign-off.
• Execute Kommand version upgrades and production troubleshooting, often after business hours.
• Translate business requirements into system settings, network parameters, and configuration spreadsheets.
• Configure and support client sandbox and production environments for testing and go-live.
• Participate in on-call rotations for system escalations and provide post-go-live support.
