About the role
GiveDirectly is seeking a Director of Strategic Initiatives to lead a lean internal consulting team focused on evaluating and advancing external partnerships to increase delivery capacity. You will work with high autonomy to generate, prioritize, and implement pathways such as institutional data partnerships and payment provider arrangements. This role involves reporting to the Chief of Staff and collaborating with the Executive team to influence the delivery of significant funding.
Responsibilities
- Build and prioritize a portfolio of options to increase delivery capacity.
- Run primary diligence on opportunities, including engagement with partners, regulators, and counsel.
- Advance selected priorities from evaluation through to live pilot implementation.
- Define and run competitive solicitations and manage partner responses.
- Negotiate agreements with institutional counterparties including UN agencies and government bodies.
- Produce analysis and written recommendations to support Executive decision-making.
