Staff Software Engineer, Experimentation Platform

About the role

Discord is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of its next-generation experimentation platform, including AI-assisted workflows. You will design and build core services, data pipelines, and tooling to empower internal teams to test hypotheses and improve the product. This role involves mentoring engineers and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-scale data systems that support millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support Discord's next generation experimentation platform including core services, data pipelines, configuration tooling, statistical analysis tools and UX.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and customers throughout the company.
• Understand and influence product telemetry practices to support experimentation needs.
• Use technical expertise to build user experience and high-scale data systems that power internal teams and product features.
• Deliver business results by collaborating with stakeholders across Discord to experiment on features and machine learning models.
