Founding Software Engineer

About the role

Cypress Labs is building a platform that autonomously models real-world businesses to enable better simulation, planning, and decision-making. As a founding engineer, you will work across the entire stack to build infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI agent capabilities. You will collaborate directly with founders and early design partners to translate operational needs into system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Extend the core platform including event sourcing, domain modeling, and agent orchestration
• Ship, operate, monitor, and maintain production infrastructure
• Build AI agent capabilities such as tool design, context assembly, and sub-agent architectures
• Integrate external systems including POS, accounting, labor scheduling, and banking APIs
• Onboard new merchants and translate their operational needs into system capabilities
