Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) - Merchants

About the role

Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the MX Intelligence team in London to help build and scale tools for merchant onboarding and sales workflows. You will work across the full stack to replace legacy systems with a new first-party platform, owning features end-to-end while collaborating with product and design teams. This role involves designing and scaling backend services and frontend components to support a global, three-sided marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical execution by designing, building, and scaling backend services and frontend components for high-traffic workloads.
• Lead architectural improvements and code reviews to ensure system efficiency and operational health.
• Partner with cross-functional disciplines including product managers and designers to plan projects and mitigate technical risks.
• Break down complex problems into deliverable choices to influence the team's roadmap and technical direction.
• Mentor colleagues and participate in the engineering hiring process to support team growth.
