Lead Software Engineer

About the role

The Lead Software Engineer will take technical ownership of the Configuration Experience team, responsible for building and managing insurance products. This role involves a balance of hands-on technical work, such as writing RFCs and shipping code, alongside guiding team members and collaborating with product managers. The position focuses on delivering high-quality technical solutions while fostering team growth and maintaining project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the Configuration Experience team and set delivery direction.
• Research technical solutions, write RFCs, build PoCs, and ship code.
• Act as a sparring partner for product managers and stakeholders on business and technical decisions.
• Plan projects realistically using agile principles to ensure deadlines are met.
• Lead and mentor team members by providing feedback and facilitating meetings.
• Identify and resolve obstacles while keeping stakeholders informed.
