Product Manager Smart Metering & Steering

About the role

The Product Manager for Smart Metering & Steering will lead the end-to-end steering proposition, transforming regulatory complexity into scalable and customer-friendly products. This role sits at the intersection of regulation, product development, hardware, and field operations to support the company's virtual power plant and energy transition goals. You will act as the primary expert on smart metering regulations and drive the strategy for hardware rollout and market integration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for regulatory developments such as §14a EnWG, §9 EEG, §21 EnWG, and §118 Abs. 6 EnWG.
• Define and prioritize development requirements for engineering teams to ensure Heartbeat AI and connected hardware meet compliance and performance standards.
• Coordinate testing and lab capacities, prepare hardware decisions, and operationalize the rollout of intelligent metering systems.
• Manage relationships with external service providers, DSOs, and metering point operators to ensure reliable market communication.
• Lead cross-functional projects, define KPIs, and monitor performance to derive optimization measures.
