Legal Counsel - IT & Data Protection

About the role

AMBOSS is seeking a Legal Counsel to support the business in IT and data protection matters. The role involves advising teams on data protection compliance, supporting product development, and managing data subject rights requests. You will work closely with the DPO and the broader legal team to navigate complex regulatory challenges in an international context.

Responsibilities

• Advise teams on data protection questions and their implementation.
• Analyze and assess data protection compliance risks at system and process levels.
• Integrate international data protection requirements into the existing setup.
• Support product development in collaboration with tech and product teams.
• Review and assess data protection agreements, tools, and software.
• Create and update internal data protection policies and procedures.
• Coordinate data subject rights requests and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) in Germany
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience at a reputable law firm or as an in-house counsel
