Software Engineer, Robotics

About the role

Swarmaero is building the world's largest swarming UAV network and is seeking a Software Engineer to build and harden on-vehicle systems. You will work across the stack, including vehicle software, sensor and payload integration, planning behaviors, and simulation to ensure capability survives contact with real hardware. This role involves scaling autonomy software onto aircraft and creating a platform-agnostic integration surface for sensors and payloads.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend components across the autonomy stack including planning behaviors, vehicle software, and sensor integration.
• Grow the on-vehicle software platform into an integration surface for first and third-party sensors and software modules.
• Create and validate physically realistic simulations of UxS and ensure simulation accuracy against flight and field test data.
• Prototype electronics and troubleshoot complex mixed hardware-software systems including failures on real vehicles.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years building soft-realtime embedded systems or robotics software
