Lead Procurement In-House Engine development

About the role

The Exploration Company is seeking a Lead In-house Development Procurement to manage procurement strategies for internally developed engines and future programs. This role involves translating engineering requirements into sourcing plans, managing supplier delivery, and leading a team to support development and testing milestones. The successful candidate will own procurement activities from early engagement through contract execution while ensuring alignment with company priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define sourcing strategies for development hardware, components and specialist services.
• Lead major negotiations and ensure contracts address scope, technical annexes, delivery milestones and intellectual property.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead recovery plans for critical delivery or technical issues.
• Own procurement activities from early supplier engagement and RFQs through contract execution and delivery.
• Work with Engineering and program teams to establish clear procurement packages and sourcing schedules.
• Maintain an integrated procurement plan for assigned programs and allocate team capacity.
• Lead and develop procurement managers and staff, setting clear accountability for supplier strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Equivalent practical experience

• Experience negotiating technically demanding development and manufacturing contracts
