About the role
The Financial Crime Quality Assurance Analyst will provide independent assurance across various financial crime activities, including transaction monitoring and customer due diligence. The role involves assessing whether risks are appropriately identified, investigated, and documented in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will conduct evidence-based reviews, identify control gaps, and provide constructive feedback to operational teams to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent Quality Assurance reviews across Financial Crime processes including transaction monitoring and CDD/KYC.
- Assess cases against policies and QA methodologies to ensure risks are appropriately identified and concluded.
- Review customer and transactional information to identify AML, terrorist financing, and sanctions red flags.
- Identify gaps in investigation quality, documentation, or decision-making and record accurate findings.
- Apply a risk-based approach to assess the severity of issues and escalate material findings.
- Support remediation activities and provide coaching to operational and Quality Control teams.
- Participate in calibration activities to promote consistency in QA assessments.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and thematic reviews to identify recurring issues and control weaknesses.
