Senior Information Security Engineer

About the role

Five9 is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join its Security Risk Management team. This role focuses on designing, automating, and scaling security controls and workflows to protect the company's infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will work with engineering and business stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage security risks across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify, document, and assess security risks across production infrastructure, cloud services, corporate systems, and acquired platforms
• Maintain the Security Risk Register in Jira, ensuring risks are accurately categorized, assigned, and tracked
• Engage with service owners, engineering leads, and operations teams to establish risk ownership and drive remediation plans
• Facilitate the risk acceptance process and coordinate approvals with stakeholders
• Develop and deliver risk reporting, dashboards, and metrics for security leadership and executive audiences
• Collaborate with compliance and vulnerability management functions to integrate findings into the broader security program
• Research and apply risk management frameworks to improve program maturity
• Contribute to the development of risk management policies, procedures, and playbooks
