Technician

About the role

Black Semiconductor is seeking a motivated technician to join their on-site team in Aachen. The role involves working with automated equipment in a semiconductor production environment and supporting the maintenance and operation of Automated Material Handling Systems. This position is ideal for individuals who have recently completed or are about to complete vocational training or a technical diploma in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment and AMHS systems.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and basic control-system issues.
• Monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and help restore equipment operation to minimize production downtime.
• Support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrade of equipment together with engineering teams and external vendors.
• Follow technical procedures, safety requirements, and cleanroom standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and spare-parts information.
