AI/ML Engineering Manager

About the role

This is a senior leadership role responsible for both hands-on technical delivery and the growth and performance of a team of ML engineers and architects. You will own hiring, team development, and technical strategy while leading complex customer engagements and driving pre-sales efforts. The role requires a balance of deep technical expertise in AWS and AI with the ability to manage and mentor a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Hire and build the team by setting technical standards and leading technical assessments.
• Develop team members through structured 1:1s, feedback, and career growth investment.
• Manage team performance and staffing utilization across customer engagements.
• Lead end-to-end ML assessments and shape architectural direction for clients.
• Advise customers on MLOps, LLMOps, and sustainable production monitoring standards.
• Partner with sales and solutions teams to drive pre-sales and accurately scope technical work.
• Lead engagements from kickoff through delivery as the primary technical authority.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in machine learning or AI with client-facing consulting experience
