Solutions Architect, Defence, DACH

About the role

The Solutions Architect will play an instrumental role in growing Cohere's defence business across the DACH region, with a primary focus on Germany. This role involves partnering with account executives and the partner ecosystem to help defence and security organisations adopt AI securely, including in air-gapped or tactical edge environments. The architect will own the technical relationship with stakeholders, leading the design and deployment of customer pilots and translating operational requirements into AI use cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical talk track on customer calls and design enterprise architectures for on-prem, air-gapped and sovereign cloud setups.
• Design for classified and disconnected environments in collaboration with IT security and accreditation teams.
• Work with customer executives to prioritise use cases, define success metrics and build business cases for AI adoption.
• Translate defence and operational requirements into AI use cases ranging from logistics to intelligence analysis.
• Facilitate customer evaluations and pilots while owning the technical response for RFPs and public tenders.
• Develop and document processes to enable the solutions architect team to scale effectively.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure offerings meet customer needs and gather feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as consulting data scientist, forward deployed engineer, or solutions architect
• Eligible and willing to undergo a German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung under the SÜG, Ü2 or higher)
