About the role
The Director of Accounting & Controlling will own the integrity of group financial reporting and set the standard for IFRS and local GAAP compliance for a fast-growing aerospace and defense company. Reporting to the CFO, this role involves leading group-wide accounting, controlling, and operations finance functions across multiple international entities. The successful candidate will drive system improvements, manage audit processes, and develop a high-performing finance organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual group close across all consolidated entities.
- Own and strengthen internal accounting controls, policies, and their consistent application across the group.
- Drive improvements to ERP and finance systems, including Microsoft Dynamics environments.
- Own group-wide cost accounting standards, including standard and actual costing, absorption, and variance analysis.
- Lead the Operations Finance function and ensure disciplined reporting of manufacturing costs.
- Act as the primary management counterpart for external auditors and manage statutory filings.
- Build and develop a high-performing accounting and controlling organization across multiple European jurisdictions.
