About the role

MicroAGI is building the data layer for physical AI by designing and building hardware that captures data in the physical world. As an Embedded Engineer, you will own the firmware for this data-capture hardware, ensuring that the data reaching the ML team is clean, synchronized, and trustworthy. You will work closely with ML engineers to build reliable, real-time data acquisition systems for sensors, IoT setups, and prototype robots.

Responsibilities

  • Write and own firmware for data-capture hardware including sensors, motion-capture rigs, and prototype robots.
  • Build real-time data acquisition systems including drivers, DMA, buffering, and streaming.
  • Solve multi-sensor synchronization, calibration, and time-stamping to ensure data alignment.
  • Bring up new boards in collaboration with Electrical Engineers.
  • Develop communication protocols, on-device logging, and data pipeline handoffs.
  • Ensure firmware reliability through testing, OTA updates, and diagnostics.
