Senior AI/ML Engineer

About the role

Treefera is a first-mile intelligence platform providing visibility into global agricultural and commodity supply chains. As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will own the models and pipelines that transform weather and satellite data into actionable risk and market signals for customers. You will work within a cross-functional team to take research from prototype to production, ensuring data reliability and model performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship forecasting models for environmental and risk signals, from agricultural stress indicators to weather and climate volatility.
• Extend the weather platform by adding new forecast products and capabilities to an established staged pipeline.
• Work with satellite data across optical and radar missions to build vegetation stress signals, landcover classifications and land-surface conditions.
• Take research from prototype to production by building infrastructure and ensuring reproducible data deliveries.
• Improve experiment design, evaluation protocols, documentation and the treatment of uncertainty within the AI team.
