Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - New Verticals

About the role

Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the New Verticals team in London. You will help improve code structure and architecture while leading project planning to ensure efficiency and reliability across production systems in a complex, three-sided marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical excellence by improving code structure and architecture and performing high-impact code reviews.
• Lead project planning by identifying dependencies and risks in partnership with Product and Design teams.
• Optimise operations to simplify the maintenance and health of production systems.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to identify opportunities and influence the technical roadmap.
• Mentor colleagues and conduct engineering interviews to support team growth.
