About the role
The Lead Infrastructure Engineer performs work with a high degree of latitude, handling complex issues and providing technical direction. This role focuses on automating the cloud environment, troubleshooting production issues, and leading efforts to improve system resiliency and reliability. You will optimize the development pipeline and enhance the development lifecycle through robust automation and efficient operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements of the Technology organization and work with architects to plan out the technical roadmap.
- Design, build and implement automated environments using Kubernetes.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts to automate the provisioning and management of Azure infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to ensure operational infrastructure supports fast-paced development cycles.
- Automate monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues.
- Implement security automation to ensure continuous compliance and protection against threats.
- Perform incident resolution and root cause analysis of critical outages and implement solutions to systematic failures.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the Infrastructure Engineering group.
