Principal Software Engineer - Product, Platform, Infrastructure

About the role

Ayunis is a GovTech company building an open-source AI platform to automate administrative work for public sector clients. As a Principal Engineer, you will provide hands-on technical leadership across the product, integration platform, and infrastructure. You will set technical direction, make architectural decisions, and work closely with the CTO to ensure the team delivers high-quality, maintainable software.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the architecture of Ayunis Core across frontend, backend, agent runtime, identity, permissions and extension interfaces.
• Own the technical direction of our infrastructure, including deployments, reliability, observability, security and incident readiness.
• Build stable APIs, SDKs and reusable integration patterns for external systems such as document management systems and identity providers.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs between delivery speed, simplicity and long-term maintainability.
• Work with Product and customer-facing teams to turn recurring needs into reusable product capabilities.
• Collaborate with open-source contributors, software vendors and integration partners.
