Industrial Designer

About the role

Alta Ares is seeking an Industrial Designer to define and implement a consistent product design language across their range of AI-guided interceptors and defense systems. The role involves managing the full design process from initial concept through to industrialization, ensuring products are optimized for field use and high-quality manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to deliver rugged, functional, and aesthetically distinctive hardware.

Responsibilities

• Define the Alta Ares product design Look & Feel and apply it consistently across the product range.
• Design product aesthetics to establish a distinctive market identity.
• Ensure high perceived quality for handling, transport, and unboxing experiences.
• Design for field use, including battery access, deployment, and operation in degraded conditions.
• Build DFx principles into designs while working with Mechanical Engineering and Production.
• Produce sketches, renders, CMF specifications, and 3D CAD models for design reviews.
• Manage external design and DFM partners and integrate their recommendations.

Qualifications
