About the role

Quantum Motion is seeking a Senior Electrical Characterisation Engineer to join the Process Integration team in London. This role sits at the intersection of semiconductor manufacturing and quantum hardware, focusing on understanding, qualifying, and improving silicon devices for quantum processors. You will use electrical characterisation and large-scale data analysis to identify root causes of device behaviour and provide actionable feedback to improve yield and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Drive electrical characterisation of fabricated silicon devices, developing and improving high-throughput screening methods.
  • Turn electrical data into manufacturing insight by connecting patterns and failures to semiconductor process steps.
  • Develop automated measurement and test infrastructure, creating robust Python-based test routines and instrument-control workflows.
  • Analyse large-scale electrical datasets using statistical process control and yield analysis to monitor wafer uniformity and process drift.
  • Work directly with semiconductor foundries and process engineers to provide feedback for improving device performance and consistency.
  • Build scalable characterisation processes, establishing testing standards, calibration procedures, and data pipelines.
